In keeping with our summer goal to hit up the best things to see in Utah, we went to the Bingham Copper Mine. I was not exactly sure what to expect.

The low-down: It costs $5 per car to get into the mine area.
After a visit to the visitor's center and a short video (very important if you really don't know anything about mining anything), you can visit the actual mine. It is enormous.

Jacob, me and Padre.

The mine. It is huge.
To see size comparison, look in the right corner for the truck.

A close up of one of the trucks used to haul minerals.

Aaaaand this is the size of one of the wheels. Enormous.
Mining copper and other minerals is not joke.

While we are up on the faaaaaar west side of Salt Lake Valley, it seemed logical to find the "Up" house in Herriman.

Yes. Some developer created an exact replica of the house from "Up" as a part of the Parade of Homes.
Admission is permitted with a ticket for the Parade.

To add to the charm, they had Mr. Fredrickson and Russell to greet visitors.

I'm all about the extra touches. And the mail box really hit this house over the moon.

Well, played West Side.
